context

A neighbourhood restaurant needs a small set of answers online: what’s on the menu, who makes it, where it is, when it’s open. Anything beyond that is noise between a hungry visitor and a bowl.

Pokay has made fresh pokébowls at the Wijnhaven in Delft since 2018. The site’s job is to state that clearly and then get out of the way.

approach

Static pages on Vercel — menu, story, contact — with nothing that needs a server to answer. The menu lists the signature bowls and the build-your-own steps: rice, salad, protein, toppings, sauce, something crunchy.

Ordering isn’t rebuilt. The site hands off to the restaurant’s existing ordering platform with a single link, so the two systems each do the one thing they’re for.

since 2018

the restaurant came first — the site just states what it is: menu, story, address

result

A calm Dutch-language site: ten signature bowls with starting prices, the address and opening hours, a route link for the walk over.

Every page answers the question a visitor arrived with, and none of them asks for anything back.
